Before you begin, kindly ensure that you have completed the following:
Installed the Nexus Card application and registered for an account.
Updated your Huawei phone and Wallet to the latest version and have logged in with your HUAWEI ID.
Make sure your mobile phone’s NFC setting is enabled (switched on).
The following describes the steps to add the Nexus UnionPay virtual debit card to Huawei Wallet:
Step 1
Log in to your Nexus App and click on "Wallet".
Step 2
Click on "Add to Huawei Pay".
Step 3
Click on "HUAWEI Wallet-SG" and proceed.
Note: Please note that the Nexus UnionPay virtual debit card is issued out from Singapore. Thus, “Huawei Wallet-EU” option does NOT work with the virtual debit card issued.
Step 4
Click "Add to HUAWEI Wallet-SG" and wait for the card linking progress to complete. This should take 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
On the "Card added" page, click "DONE".
Step 6
You will see that the activation is successful. Then, click on "Back" and exit the Nexus App.
Step 7
Log into your HUAWEI Wallet account.
Step 8
Click on "Bank cards" to see the card. The card will be displayed as "Aleta Planet Pte LtdCredit card". Click on the card you would like to view.
Note: If you have more than one card, refer to the last 4 digits to identify the card.
Step 9
To pay, click on the "Pay" button on the "Card details" page.
Step 10
Follow the onscreen instructions to set a security phone number, payment PIN, and security question.
Congratulations! You can now use your Nexus UnionPay virtual debit card via Huawei Pay.
